Anatomical Weakness in Perioral Region

Published on

In this module, Dr Acquilla assesses and treats his 51 year old female patient who has an anatomical weakness in the perioral region. The patient has a retrusion of the maxilla at the pyriform and the mandible with lips that are retruded which is demonstrated by measuring the Ricketts line. The lower lip should sit 2mm behind the line and the upper lip should be 3mm but the patient is around 5-6mm. Dr Acquilla demonstrates his strategy to correct this which includes the following treatment areas: Temple, Cheek, Pre-Jowl Sulcus, Pyriform & Lips. Dr Acquilla also shares his lip beautification technique including a “lip flip” using dermal fillers.
